Hospital Duress
Minicom is proud to offer state of the art Locating Duress System, which provides both who and where capabilities.
The system uses Locators (Locating Radio Receivers) and Vector locating principles to provide alarm positioning with an accuracy down to just a few meters.
The system utilizes miniature, battery powered duress call buttons to provide simplicity of operation and high reliability, whilst offering long battery life.

Minimum System RequirementThe system requires a number of components to operate :
- Minicom PC Base station
- A number of Locators
- One or more help buttons
The Locators are wired to the PC Base station using RS485 over a cat 5 data cable, in a snake-like or daisy chain pattern. The PC Base station can be placed at any point along the data cable.
The maximum cable length in this configuration is approximately 1400 m. Longer cable lengths can be accommodated by adding Transponder devices to the network.
