Description

The Minicom Wander Resident System provides unobtrusive detection of residents that are prone to wander away from a premises. The system operates automatically, and preserves the diginity of the wanderer in that they only wear a small, stylish, watch sized detetection tag.

The system requires the placement of small keypad controllers at each door, to detect the wanderers. A staff member may then enter a pin password to escort wander residents through a protected door, without raising an alarm. See Wander Door Controller for more information.

Alarms at a door are sent, via receivers, to be alerted on any of the following Base Station systems :

• Minicom PC Base Station
• Minicom Bodyguard III
• Minicom Door Monitor Terminal (shown below). Each terminal can display alarms from up to 8 Wander Door Controllers.

The alarm messages can be received either directly into a the Minicom PC Base Station or Bodyguard III or via repeaters, for extended coverage. The Door Monitor Terminal must be used in association with the Minicom UHF Diversity repeater.
